When we saw how the sports world exploded on Monday, we couldn’t help but check out how it played out online.

If news directors were tracking social media minute-to-minute and hour-to-hour, their decisions would have been easy. Check out our report on how it played out online. We looked at the NCAA game as a microcosm of the entire social media universe.
What we saw was this: social media is consuming not just traditional media, but it is consuming itself. And, it’s getting bigger.
What I wonder is what it be like next year?
