Video Blog: Behind the Scenes of Hurricane Irene

Last night, Xenophon's Bob Brady set out in a rented SUV destined for the shores of North Carolina's Outer Banks and head-on into the forecasted path of Hurricane Irene.

When he gets to Moorehead, NC, Bob will be linking up with The Salvation Army's disaster teams on the ground who are staging for a major response after the storm blows ashore.  Bob's job will be to help the Army get the word out about what is happening on the ground in the affected areas.

Along his way, Bob will be filing short, less-than-30-second reports from the field throughout the storm. He'll interview Salvation Army officers, disaster response teams, and others who are responding to and affected by the storm. He'll capture storm damage and go behind the scenes of a major disaster response effort, from a PIO's perspective.

You can follow Bob's journey right here. Leave a comment for Bob on our Facebook.
