Xenophon assisted the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), which manages more than one-fourth of the federal government’s total procurement dollars and influences the management of $500 billion in federal assets, with a media relations campaign to help increase public awareness—through news coverage—of many of GSA’s leading programs.
Agency efforts included: sustainable building and design, energy conservation, sales of surplus property, small business advocacy, and historic preservation among others. Xenophon provided strategic communications counsel, supporting the agency’s crisis communications plan, providing various spokesperson and other trainings, and created a series of informational toolkits for public affairs officers (PAOs) located in GSA’s 11 regions throughout the country. Additionally, Xenophon analyzed GSA’s website and provided strategic recommendations and redesigns to enhance the look and navigational capabilities of the site.
“The last time we worked together, Xenophon helped produce a strategic plan that ultimately transformed a bankrupt technology company with a stock option probe into a successful $2.1 billion acquisition.”
