Universal Aggregates is working to commercialize proprietary technology for the manufacture of construction aggregates from coal combustion by-products. In partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy, the company designed, constructed and is operating a manufacturing plant at the Birchwood Power Facility in King George, Va., that is testing a new type of “recycling” technology for coal-burning power plants. Xenophon provided strategic counsel and government affairs services to the company.
