
Jason Meath is President of Xenophon, Advertising & Advocacy and a long-time Washington political media strategist, author and award-winning filmmaker. Joining Xenophon Strategies in May 2010, Mr. Meath brings political and strategic media consulting along with experience leading award-winning advertising campaigns to Xenophon's clients.
Prior to joining Xenophon, Mr. Meath was a Partner with one of the top political consulting firms in the nation, The Stevens & Schriefer Group. He started his career in politics at the Republican National Committee during the 1990's as Director of Marketing Communications, where he helped launch GOP-TV -- the first political network in history.
During the 2004 presidential campaign, Mr. Meath was a member of the Maverick Media team -- the inner circle that produced all message strategy and advertising for President George W. Bush. At the Stevens and Schriefer Group, he helped numerous Senators, Governors and Congressional leaders over eight years. Former RNC Chair and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour called him a “rising star among Washington image-makers.”
With a corporate client roll that includes global Fortune 500 companies and America's largest associations, he devises media strategies for some of the country’s toughest legislative battles and corporate identity obstacles. Mr. Meath is equally adept at maneuvering in such diverse regions as native Alaskan villages and the jungles of Africa to more familiar, but equally daunting territory, such as the wilds of D.C. Beltway politics and maneuvering on Main Street.
He is the co-writer and director of “The Surge: The Untold Story,” (SSG 2009) the only documentary of its kind offering the real story of the Surge in Iraq, as told by top U.S. Commanders. Mr. Meath also wrote, directed and co-created the award-winning documentary series “The Feds” for the Discovery Channel. He is also the DC-bestselling author of the book “Hollywood on the Potomac” (Arcadia 2009), an anthology of Hollywood stars with Presidents, Washington power players and politicians. He is also a frequent guest lecturer and writer on various topics related to media, pop culture and politics
Mr. Meath, who earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Hampden Sydney College, has attended both the Film & Television Workshops in Rockport, Maine and Columbia University's Film Institute. The Richmond, VA native resides with his wife and son in Washington, D.C.
