Xenophon Strategies Welcomes Dr. Brooke Nichols to COVID-19 Crisis Communications Response Team
Expertise in Health Economics and Infectious Disease to Support Clients During Pandemic
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Xenophon Strategies is strengthening its COVID-19 Crisis Communications Response Team by partnering with Dr. Brooke Nichols, an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Public Health’s Department of Global Health. Dr. Nichols’ knowledge and experience in working with infectious diseases and modelling will play a key role in Xenophon’s crisis communications and business recovery for the firm’s clients.

Dr. Nichols is a health economist and infectious disease mathematical modeler, and in her career she has studied the transmission, economic evaluation, resource allocation, and prevention of various diseases, including HIV and Hepatitis C. Dr. Nichols currently has ongoing research projects in the Netherlands, South Africa, Zambia, Malawi and the U.S., and works directly with local governments and international policy making bodies.
Dr. Nichol holds a PhD from the Department of Virology, Erasmus Medical Center, the Netherlands in infectious disease modeling, a MSc in epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a BA in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College.
As part of Xenophon’s COVID-19 Crisis Communications Response Team, Dr. Nichols will be joining Mr. Fuscus and other Xenophon staff, as well Dr. Davidson Hamer, a board-certified specialist in infectious diseases and a Professor of Global Health and Medicine at the Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Hamer has more than 30 years of experience in the field.
