Eldorado Resorts Hires Xenophon Strategies for Crisis Communications
COVID-19 Crisis Response Team to Support Hotel and Casino Entertainment Company
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Xenophon Strategies has been hired by Eldorado Resorts, Inc., to provide critical crisis communications work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eldorado employs nearly 19,000 people and will utilize Xenophon’s COVID-19 Crisis Communications Response Team to guide the entertainment company through the challenges of the coronavirus.
“Xenophon has put in place an experienced team of communications and healthcare professionals to assist Eldorado Resorts and its staff through the short-term and long-term effects of COVID-19,” said Xenophon President and CEO David Fuscus.
Xenophon’s COVID-19 Response Team will provide Eldorado with medical expertise from two on–staff healthcare professionals with more than 40 years of combined experience in infectious diseases: Dr. Davidson Hamer, a board-certified specialist in infectious diseases and a Professor of Global Health and Medicine at the Boston University School of Public Health, and Dr. Brooke Nichols, a health economist and infectious disease mathematical modeler and Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Public Health’s Department of Global Health.
In addition, the COVID-19 Response communications team will be led by Mr. Fuscus, Xenophon Sr. Vice President Mark Hazlin and Vice President Jennifer Lay. Together the team will develop medical recommendations and alerts for Eldorado to disseminate to its employees, as well as the company’s customers. The team will also create a business continuity plan for Eldorado, which will be designed to help the company navigate the short- and long-term challenges created by COVID-19.
In addition, Xenophon will be available to Eldorado for several other crisis communications services, including public engagement, proactive messages and outreach, collateral material creation such as FAQs, and more.
“Our COVID-19 Crisis Communications Response Team will play a key role for Eldorado in establishing a business continuity plan, and an outline of how best to communicate about the plan to the company’s key stakeholders, customers, employees and their families,” said Mr. Fuscus.
To support Eldorado and other COVID-19 related clients, Xenophon has prepared a COVID-19 online resource. It is available at: https://xenophonstrategies.com/covid-19-response.
